La Física de Partículas al Servicio de la Salud. (Transferencias Tecnológicas del CERN a la Biomedicina).

Resumen

In this article we show some examples of spinoffs from particle physics to life sciences, mainly biomedicine, developped at CERN. In particular, we discuss the cases of PET/CT imaging technologies, hadron therapy and brachytherapy and also new information and computing technologies, such as Grid, and some of their more recent applications to medicine and bioinformatics.
