Física Nuclear y Medicina.

Resumen

Applications of Physics to Medicine are reviewed in two main areas: Radiotherapy and Nuclear Imaging. The basic principles of external Radiotherapy as well as Brachytherapy, two powerful weapons against tumours, are reviewed. In Nuclear Imaging, SPECT and PET techniques are presented and the importance of functional imaging provided by Nuclear Medicine is stressed.
