Resum

A very simple method for measuring the atmospheric pressure is described. The method is based on the isothermal compression of a given amount of air. The only theoretical expressions involved are Boyle's Law and the pressure exerted by a liquid column. A modification of the method devised to improve its sensitivity is also proposed
