Abstract

The objective of this paper is to provide a model that allows us to obtain sensible heat fluxes making use of the remote sensing possibilities. The physical meaning of the aerodynamic resistance, a very important parameter in the model, has been shown by establishing an equivalence between heat conduction law and Ohm law. Differences between the radiometric surface temperature and the aerodynamic temperature have been analyzed. The model has been applied in two sites with different characteristics: a Finnish boreal forest and a grassland area in USA. A good agreement has been obtained comparing model results with ground surface measurements. Moreover a sensitivity analysis and a comparison with other resistance model have been performed.
