Abstract

The evolution of technology can not forget the basic rules of Physics. Digital cameras of small and middle performance will have a digital resolution upper optical resolution. Diffraction allows to understand the boundary of digital camera technology. The Raleigh’s relation can be very easily used at secondary school level. Digital cameras are a very good example for the resolving power of optical instruments and they allow to compare the boundary of microelectronic and optic technologies.
