Abstract

Quantum Cryptography represents one of the most important Quantum Information applications due to its importance and feasibilityusing present technology. Contrary to existing cryptographic schemes, whose security is often based on unproven mathematicalassumptions, the security of Quantum Cryptography protocols is guaranteed by the laws of Quantum Mechanics. In thiswork, after discussing the main quantum features behind the security of any protocol, we review some of the most recent importantachievements on the security proofs of Quantum Cryptography schemes.
