Science and the teaching of science has above all a social dimension. Mass media and, in particular, television is one of the most influent means regarding social changes. This fact should make us think about the possible influence television has on the knowledge acquired by individuals. All these issues are considered, not only as an educative requirement for the citizen´s upbringing, but also as possible means to be applied in the classroom context.
